EISA Select Soccer Travel Teams

If any U-12 or U-14 player of DCYSC is interested, there will be tryouts for an EISA Select Soccer Travel Team. Tryouts are open to any DCYSC, BSC or SASA player who wishes to also play select travel soccer along with their regular local rec team.

EISA – EASTERN INDIANA SOCCER ASSOCIATION

Eastern Indiana Soccer Association is a recreational league that includes U12 and U14 girl and boy teams from the three membership soccer clubs of Sunman, Decatur County and Batesville. Presidents of the respective clubs as well as interested board members and parents are developing a new endeavor for EISA: traveling teams to compete with other traveling teams from around SE Indiana .

We would like to invite all U12 and U14 soccer players that are of proper age as of August 1 and currently participate in the EISA fall 2008 season to try out for the first EISA Select soccer teams. Contact Jeff Nolting for try out information.

EISA Select players will be chosen based on their ability and positions that best fit the teams. We will only select the best players available by position and who participate in the try outs. Travel and play on Sundays are requirements to be a part of these teams. The number of teams will depend on the number of coaches that are willing to take on the responsibility of coaching these teams. Volunteer positions needed to organize EISA Select are as follows:

Division Coordinator – this person will be responsible for coordinating all games with opposing teams and identifying and registering the teams for tournament play. We are in need of two Coordinators; one for boys and one for girls.

League Registrar – this person will register all teams with IYSA (Indiana Youth Soccer Association), collect and maintain birth certificates and certify that all players conform to IYSA rules of participation.

Coaches – will organize and assist in the selection process of their teams, they will participate in game situations and if time allows organize and conduct practices. Coaches must conform to IYSA standards to be eligible to coach.

A copy of your birth certificate (hospital records are not acceptable) if this is your first year as a EISA Travel player or if you have not played Spring Travel, and a wallet size photo. Please bring this information to the try outs.
